SPE Student Scholarship Applications Due Soon

For any students interested in attending next year's national SPE conference in Baltimore, Maryland from March 6-9, applications are now being accepted for scholarships. Ten awards will be given based on portfolio submissions and will cover the cost of the conference, one year's SPE membership and a $500 travel stipend. The application is pretty simple and only costs $10 but the deadline is this Friday, November 1 so don't delay. Megan King on Eyes on the South

© Megan King Current BFA student Megan King has photographs from her  Hispanic Appalachia  series featured on Oxford American's  Eyes on the South .  Eyes on the South  is a weekly, online segment featuring new and exciting photographic work made in the South and is curated by photographer and former ETSU visiting artist  Jeff Rich .  King is getting ready to graduate this semester - her exit show will be held at the Slocumb Galleries from December 2 to 13.
