ETSU Alum Shawne Brown (MFA 2008) is currently being featured on Oxford American's Eyes on the South, with pictures from his ongoing body of work about northeast Tennessee, Sensabaugh Hollow. 

Eyes on the South is a weekly, online segment featuring new and exciting photographic work made in the South and is curated by photographer and former ETSU visiting artist Jeff Rich.

He was born in the Tug River Valley, located on the West Virginia and Kentucky state line, in the Hatfield and McCoy Country.
