Lecture on Civil War Photographer George N. Barnard at UT

As part of their ongoing Civil War Lecture series, the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture will be hosting a talk on Civil War photographer George N. Barnard given by curator Joan Markel. Barnard was one of the most important photographers to chronicle the impact of the Civil War and is well known for his documentation of the aftermath of General Sherman's campaign through the South. This lecture, happening on Sunday, February 23rd from 2-3:30pm, will focus on his life and career, including images he made in Knoxville.
